I Can't Stop

I can't stop thinking about you
you've taken over my thoughts.
I can't stop feeling you.
you've taken over my feelings.

I can't stop remembering that night
you've taken over my memories.
I can't stop remembering your sight.
you've taken over my eyes.

I can't stop wondering what could have been
you've taken over my wonder.
I can't stop thinking of what that silence could have meant
you've taken over my curiosity.

I can't stop writing about you
you've taken over my creativity.
I can't stop stopping what i want to do
you've taken over my desires
I can't stop wanting you
you've taken over my heart.
I can't stop melting into you
you've taken over my soul.

Today was a good day.
Tennis practice was canceled though, boo!
Julie and I have become very good friends. We always say hello and laugh whenever we see each other in the hallway. It feels good to finally befriend people from out of my class.

Mary: Church school was great until the obnoxious girls from my last session joined my class from this session. Although, this week's class was good because nobody paid any attention to them even as much as they wanted the attention. It was great (:
and do you know what i mean by being obnoxious attention obsessive girls?
I'll give you a few examples...
quote from last session:
Mr. W: ...and he choked on a fish bone...
Cassie: HE CHOKED ON A FISH BONE?
Mr. W: Yes, cassie... he choked on a fish bone...
cassie: how'd he do that?
mr. W: well, sometimes when you buy fish, the bones are still in them and you just swallow them...
cassie: wait, FISH HAVE BONES?
...honestly? after i told my friend, she's like, "That's like asking if there's milk in chocolate milk."
hahah.

and a quote from a two classes ago:
cassie and gracie: we should become nuns!
gracie: mrs? do you have to be a virgin to become a nun?
mrs: yes...
gracie: oh, well then i guess i can't become one!
mind you, we're in NINTH grade in CHURCH school which is in a CHURCH.
we're all like WTF!?
and she's like GOD, I WAS JUST KIDDING, TAKE A JOKE.

seriously, i am so done with them, haha. buuuuut, the boys ignored them and talked to me during last class (: haha there this kid, josh who is amazing. he's freaking hilariousssssss. hhah.

you're gonna be a shining star, with fancy clothes and fancy cars.

Today was a good great day (:
TENNIS PRACTICE WAS AMAZING.
i think i'm really getting better (:
i served pretty well, and even got a few points.
i played doubles with kevin, and i love it.
i have yet to find someone who i like playing with, but i like him.
he's so chill about it and doesn't get mad at me when i suck. haha
we played outside, and it gets some taking used to because of the wind and stuff,
BUT IT WAS SO MUCH FUN.
I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW !(:
now i have to go to church school... boo.
but i'm having an open mind...
(:

i don't really have anything else to say...
i just wanted to say something (:
this was a very boring post... haha.

keep in UNboring, just for me(:

23 March, 2009

it was the best of times, from broken homes and battle scars to where we are.

Today was such a great day.
i started off the day with a biology test that i actually think i did well on.

and finished the day off with a motivational speaker.
thinking that it was just another DONT DO DRUGS OR DRINK ALCOHAL assembly, i readied myself for nap time.

when my principal introduced the guy,
[ Micheal Pritchard ]
with an;
"All i ask for you is to come in here with an open mind,"
i figured that this couldn't be that bad...
so the guy started off with a bunch of funny stuff.
and not cheesy funny, like funny so that EVERYONE was laughing.
but then started to get into the serious stuff.
and it was wicked interesting.
he kept using children's quote as life lessons.
like one little kid said, "We can't put our anger on other people and other people can't put their anger on us. We need to stop playing anger tag."
said simply, meant deeply.
basically the whole assembly was about life.
and not school.
he told us that this whole assembly was about our hearts.
he talked about what the effect of the media has on us.
about all of the violent video games,
and the immoral tv shows.
and how they teach us that drinking and doing drugs make you 'cool.'
he taught us about bullying
and how we all need to care about each other
and how bad mean words hurt
and how much we have an effect on people's lives,
even though we don't realize it.
he told us stories about little kids.
his kids, and when he was a kid,
and how we need to stop drinking bottles of "hateorade" in the morning.
(from the words of a 6-year-old.)
we need to start listening to our hearts.
we need to start listening with our hearts and not our ears,
we need to start seeing with our hearts and not our eyes.
and at the end of the assembly, he asked people from the audience to come up.
to come up and talk about their experiences with bullying or drugs or alcohol,
and what we need to do to better our school and our community.
to become connected again.
it was, i think, the best assembly we've ever had.
and then i came home.
and melissa and i dressed warmly and took a few laps around the block,
and then layed in my [SNOWLESS!] yard in the sun.
i felt so free and alive, and young, and stress free.
i love these days, when everything goes right.
but then i found out that caleb,
the guy i've been talking about basically nonstop since thursday
when i saw him again since summer,
and whom i like very much,
HAS A GIRLFRIEND.
but i'm not going to let it ruin my mood...(:

how was everyone else's day?

1 quote or phrase;
"One day your life will flash before your eyes. Make sure it's worth watching." --Soren Kierkegaard

1 poem;
Disguises
Always we have believed
We can change overnight,
Put a different look on the face,
Old passions out of sight:
And find new days relieved
Of all that we regretted
But something always stays
And will not be outwitted.

Say we put on dark glasses,
Wear different clothes and walk
With a new unpracticed stride--
Always somebody passes
Undeceived by disguises
Or the different way we talk.
And we who could have defied
Anything if it was strange
Have nowhere we can hide
From those who refuse to change.
--Elizabeth Jennings

addiction!

i have become addicted to we<3it.
c'est moi.

my mother and i went to the library today. after, we drove around the city looking for somewhere to go. we finally set at a consignment shop to look around. the little shop had a lot of nice name brand things for dirt cheap, but i didn't find anything worth buying.
on our way home, we decided to stop at the manor antique shop to look around. i have found my new addiction! i found all of this beautiful jewelry and vintage clothing! i wish i could have bought it all! but i had decided on a beautiful 50's gold dress to wear to my aunt's wedding in august. i also bought a 50's beautiful black jacket and matching little purse. so cute! i looked around a bit for jewelry/accessories to match my dress but they were closing and we had to hurry out. my mother also picked out this beautiful chunky ring for herself, but what i'm going to borrow often (:
we had a grand old time trying on old 50's dresses, vintage kilts and old 40's hats. i also found this amazingly beautiful tea set that i would DIE for.
i can't wait to go back tomorrow and buy more stuff!
(:

i'll post pictures tomorrow of everything!
stay freshh;

Rough Day.

i am beautiful.
you are beautiful.
we are all beautiful.
we all deserve love.
we all deserve friends.
we all deserve freedom.
we all deserve equality.
we all deserve loyalty.

we all need to cry.
we all need to smile.
we all need someone who will make us smile when we cry,
and we can do without the people who make us cry when we smile.

we all need to learn
to love ourselves.
and to love others.

we all need to learn
that we are all in this together.
and that we're all the same
and we all need and deserve the same things.

we should "never look down on someone
unless we are helping them up."
we should never compare ourselves to someone better
and make ourselves feel bad,
and we should never compare ourselves to someone less fortunate
to make the other feel bad.

we all need to learn
that sometimes,
the person who deserves the least respect,
the least kindness,
the least love,
the least loyalty,
really needs it the most.

we all need to learn to love others
and love ourselves.

i love you all.

forgive me, father, for i have sinned.

This past week was been a very busy week.
sorry i've been neglecting you guys!

my first tennis practice was tuesday. it was huge amounts of fun! i had practice tuesday and wednesday at the elementary school, and then friday at the racket club. friday was a bit depressing, though. for one, we actually started playing and learning and i learned that i need to practice a lot! i bought a new racket, today, though, so i'm excited for next week's practice.

What is Bravo!?

Bravo! is a lip sync contest performed by all students in foreign language classes grades 9-12.. The lip sync contest requires students to memorize and perform (in lip sync fashion) a song that their class chose in early December.
thursday we performed! our whole thing came together so well! our song was
Aux Arbres Citoyens by Yannick Noah. Our performance was so cute! we had a bunch of dancing trees, flowers, and shrubberies in the background (i, myself, was a dancing flower!) and a bad earth killing group and a green group. it was basically a 'dance off' between the two groups and in the end the corporate people turned green and saved the earth! in the competition, french competed against french, and spanish against spanish. the categories were best costumes, best coreography, best lipsyncing, and best overall. if you won best overall, you couldn't win anyother category, though. and then, there was also a category for just all of the 9th grade classes french and spanish: best debut. our class won best debut AND tied with one of the junior classes for BEST OVER ALL! it was great (: AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL.
i can't wait for the next episode (: i don't know yet who i like, but i sure know who i DON'T like. i'll comment more once we get closer into the season (:
MOVIES.

the invisible: INCREDIBLY not what i expected. and INCREDIBLY good. i can't explain to you the goodness of it without giving the movie away. just watch it. its soooo good !

changeling: really really really good. this movie inspired me so much. the main character is such a strong woman, and is very inspiring. also, the time period is the late 20's early 30's. fashion? beautiful.
CHURCH SCHOOL.
i was wicked nervous to go, at first. then i got there and found out that of the 12 people in my class, i am the only girl. fun. but then i got to know the guys in my class, because they all go to a different school then i do since the church by me doesn't have faith formation, and i'm not too sad afterall... i am actually quite looking forward to my hour of church school every tuesday night... (:

love always,

sorry for the short post today, i have LOADS of homework, and i would have waited to make a pretty post, but i wanted to say a few things (:

01 March, 2009

Amen.

i watched this movie on ShowTime last night. Although it only recieved 1 1/2 stars, i was not disappointed. I could go on and on about the positives and negatives of this movie, but rather, i'm going to go on and on about my mind. if anyone has seen this movie, you see in the beginning of the movie how the main character, Rachel (played by Lindsay Lohan), acts like...well, kind of a slut. and i'm really against all that kindof stuff, so i was like "Wow, she's such a hoe." and stuff like that. and then as i watched the movie, i found out that the reason she acted that way was not because she chose to act like that, but because (Spoiler!) her step-father sexually abused her, and her mother had and alcohal problem and didn't even notice. i realized by watching this movie was that i judge people too quickly. if i had actually waited to hear what she had to say, before labeling her, i wouldn't have judged her actions so quickly. i think that every bad action that people do, whether its acting like a 'slut,' yelling at someone, failing a test, it has more meaning than just what you see on the outside. maybe she's acting like a 'slut' because she doesn't know how to act anyway else, or because that's all she knows. maybe my friend, stephanie, yells at me and fails her tests because she's stressed out and is treated badly at home. so, for lent, i've decided to stop judging people so quickly. when stephanie flips out on me, i'll talk to her and let her know that i care about her. when i see someone make an immoral choice, i'll look beyond the surface and because what you see isn't always what's going on on the inside of someone's mind or heart. so basically, i just want to stop judging people so quickly, look beyond the surface, and try to understand where people are coming from.

My Complete Lent List; stop judging to quickly, quit swearing &+ give out a compliment everyday. that's all i have for now, but i might be adding more to the list (:

these pictures are really cool, too. my favorites are the first and third. her photographs are so 'every-day' -- with lack of a better word. But the pictures are of simple things, but made interesting because of the colors and angles. They're so inspiring.
